Quantitative Analysis of the Interaction between Wind Turbines and Topography Change in Intertidal Wind Farms by Remote Sensing

چکیده
Offshore wind farms have developed rapidly in Jiangsu Province, China, over the last decade. The existence of offshore turbines will inevitably impact hydrological and sedimentary environments. In this paper, a digital elevation model (DEM) intertidal sandbank southern Province from 2018 to 2020 was constructed based on improved remote sensing waterline method. On basis, stability analysed, combined with hypothetical surface discrimination method (HSSDM), erosional/depositional influences turbine construction topography were quantitatively analysed. results show that due frequent oscillations tidal channels, only 35.03% study area has stable topography, more than 90% all years balanced intensity topographic change, see small reduction their following year. remaining impacts are mainly located areas unstable but overall is 2018–2020. both erosional depositional, not significant. This demonstrates quantitative effects provides some help for site selection monitoring after completion.

Subsynchronous Torsional Interaction of Wind Farms with FSIG Wind Turbines Connected to LCC-HVDC Lines
High-voltage direct current (HVDC) lines with line-commutated converter (LCC) are being increasingly employed to transmit bulk wind power over long distance. However, this may cause the sub-synchronous torsional interaction (SSTI) between the wind farms and the LCC-HVDC system. The SSTI characteristics of wind farms with fixed-speed induction generator (FSIG) wind turbines connected to LCC-HVDC...
متن کاملRemote Sensing of Wind
Remote sensing by LIDARs and SODARs is now ubiquitous in the wind energy industry, but both these technologies are still rapidly changing. What accuracy and reliability can today be expected from SODAR wind measurements? Is there traceable evidence for performance? Environmental factors, turbulent fluctuations and non-uniform terrain all affect the wind speed uncertainty. So site-to-site variat...
متن کاملOptimizing the arrangement and the selection of turbines for wind farms subject to varying wind conditions
The development of large scale wind farms that can compete with conventional energy resources presents significant challenges to today’s wind energy industry. A powerful solution to these daunting challenges can be offered by a synergistic consideration of the key design elements (turbine selection and placement) and the variations in the natural resource. This paper significantly advances the ...
متن کاملInteraction between large wind farms and the atmospheric boundary layer
Accurate prediction of atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) flow and its interactions with wind turbines is of great importance for optimizing the design and efficiency of wind farms. This study first focuses on recent efforts to develop and validate a large-eddy simulation (LES) framework for wind-energy applications. The subgrid-scale turbulent fluxes of momentum and heat are parameterized using ...
متن کاملEddy-Wind-Topography Interaction Dynamics
We address these questions through systematic numerical sensitivity experiments using the Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model (HYCOM). We begin with idealized model experiment on f-plane and flat bottom, which provides insights on the follow-up experiments of more complicated eddy-windtopography dynamics on beta-plane in a more realistic coastal ocean setting (i.e. the Gulf of Mexico). In the GoM exp...
